Terms of Reference

1- The United Nations Office at Geneva, Switzerland (UNOG), seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) for a it intends to issue for the required services / goods described below.

2- Vendors interested in fulfilling the requirement described below must be registered with UNOG and may wish to visit "UNOG Vendors Registration Process" for full registration information in order to be eligible to participate in any solicitation.

3- Required services or goods are the followings:
The scope of the RFPS-193 is to deliver packaged applications (standard, App-V or MED-V packages), ready to be deployed in the production environment, in compliance with UNOG’ requirements in terms of technical specifications and documentation.
The scope of the contract includes:

  • Maintenance of the existing packages such as Adobe, Citrix, Microsoft, Java, Oracle Client, RSA SecurID, Skype, VLC media, Hummingbird Exceed, Sybase Client, Corel Paradox, IBM Lotus Notes Standard client with Lotus Sametime and Mozilla Firefox ; including periodic releases of updates and upgrades of the applications included in the packages.
  • Production of new packages for additional applications
The contract shall be conducted for a period of two years with an option to extend for two additional years, one year at a time, at the sole option of the UNOG. The contract is intended to be in place by October 2012. The projected numbers of new packages and updates to existing packages during the course of the contract are as follows:
  • Packages to be updated per year (Simple 12, Average 6, Complex 1)
  • Packages to be created per year (Simple 6, Average 15, Complex 2)

For greater flexibility, the UNOG wants to be able to order individual packages as the need arise and be invoiced by the provider on a quarterly basis or every six months. Each invoice should cover for the orders placed over the past period.

It is foreseen that other UN organizations or entities from the UNOG will be offered to benefit from the terms and conditions of this contract.

4- Specific Requirements/Information (if any) (e.g.: pre-evaluation or pre-requisite criteria, certification, etc.):
The bidder should have a minimum of 5 years experience in the market of application packaging and references of similar experiences and contracts, ideally in an international organization.

6- Please note that this REOI does not constitute a solicitation. UNOG reserves the right to change or cancel this requirement at any time in the REOI and/or tendering process. Please note that only those vendors considered as qualified by the UNOG to supply required services or goods will be invited to participate.
