The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and its Kyoto Protocol (UNFCCC) secretariat located in Bonn, Germany, supports cooperative action by States to combat climate change and its impacts on humanity and ecosystems. The secretariat supports the implementation of the Convention and its Kyoto Protocol by a range of activities, including through substantive and organizational support to meetings of Governments. In this context, its staff organizes major conferences, medium scale meetings and smaller workshops each year.

The UNFCCC, in implementing its core mandate described above, collaborates with host countries to utilize services ranging from the rental of conference and/or meeting venues and associated services, hire liaisons, and coordinate administrative and support services. Venue requirements may vary from state of the art multi-purpose large scale conference facilities to medium/small hotels or private meeting facilities. Final selection is usually determined by projected participants turnout and dynamics of the events.

Accordingly, the UNFCCC is seeking a qualified service provider for Documentary Film Production Services. The documentary would be filmed and produced over a period of six months, resulting in a comprehensive product featuring minimum standard approaches, best practices, achievements and real impacts to conference management to enable host countries to prepare better in providing support to the secretariat and help ensure a more efficient and effective conference management. Vendors interested in being short-listed for the secretariat solicitation documents are requested to submit a written Expression of Interest (EOI), referencing RFP 2013/068, to the contact stated below no later than the designated closing date.

Detailed specifications will be provided as part of the Request for Proposal, which will be issued after the closing date of this request for EOI.

The EOI should include a description of the company profile and details of relevant experience. However, such description shall be limited to 1-2 pages length. Please do not include copies of certifications at this stage. EOIs that do not contain the information requested for evaluation by UNFCCC may be rejected.
