UN Geneva and the Angry Birds come together to raising awareness on climate change
Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September 2019
Rotonde du Mont-Blanc, Geneva
In the framework of the Act Now campaign and ahead of the Climate Action Summit, the UN Information Service in Geneva and the Angry Birds join forces on the shores of Lake Geneva to raise awareness on climate change, and encourage the Geneva public to take concrete actions in their daily life to reduce their carbon footprint.
They will take this message to the children, youth and their families participating in the Urban Sports 2019 event [French], a two-day festival celebrating urban sports as a powerful mean to promote health and gender equality in sustainable cities. The Angry Birds' popular character, Red, will be on hand to entertain the public at a stand held by UN staff, who will encourage visitors to take commitments to fight climate change in their daily life, and write them on a giant banner for a chance to win fun prizes.
