WHAT TO DO IF YOU BECOME ILL WHILE ON THE PREMISES

If you are experiencing COVID-19 type symptoms (e.g. fever, cough, loss of sense of smell), please contact the UN Security Control Centre: +41 (0) 22 917 29 00 or 112 from any fixed phone in the Palais. Security personnel will assist you and contact the UN Medical Service.

How can I prevent the spread of viruses?


  • Keep a safe distance from other people
  • Clean hands frequently
    • With soap and water, or
    • With an alcohol-based hand rub (at least 30 seconds).
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or tissue, when coughing or sneezing
    • Throw the issue away immediately in a closed bin and wash hands
  • Avoid shaking hands
  • Stay at home or in your accommodation if you have COVID-19 type symptoms
