On the occasion of the opening of the
2019 Space Security Conference

Could seeing our planet from above change the way we care about it? In these two short films, narrators, including astronauts, explain how seeing the Earth from space has transformed their perception of our planet and humankind’s place on it. They also deepen our understanding of our responsibility for the environment’s fate.

The screening will be followed by a discussion on “International Space Cooperation for global solutions” with:
  • Mr. Jean Francois Clervoy, former French Astronaut
  • Ms. Renata Dwan, Director of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR)
  • Mr. Niklas Hedman, Chief of Legal Affairs, United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA)

Moderator: Ms. Jeanne Meserve, former correspondent for CNN and ABC News
