The Meetings of the States Parties and the intersessional work programme of the Mine Ban Convention are public and open to the media.
The informal intersessional meetings are usually held in June at the WMO Building in Geneva. The Meetings of the States Parties take place every other year in the Palais des nations, at the United Nations Office in Geneva, and in between, in a mine-affected country. They are usually held end of November - beginning of December.
Media representatives wishing to cover:
- The Meetings of the States Parties as they take place at the Palais des nations at the UN in Geneva should be accredited through the UN Press Services in Geneva. See News & Media section. However, all information related to the Meetings, including remote media access of the Meetings, maybe requested directly to the Implementation Support Unit of the Convention.
- The Meetings of the States Parties when they take place in a mine-affected country, should directly address the Implementation Support Unit of the Convention for accreditation and information.
