Terms of Reference
The Procurement Section of the United Nations Office at Vienna (PS/UNOV) will be issuing a tender for the production of a short film on levels and effects of ionizing radiation on humans and the environment following the Fukushima-Daaichi nuclear accident.
The film should capture the process of the study (to reinforce credibility), use easy-to-understand
graphics/animation etc. to translate the findings and leave the audience feeling less confused and
The people who have been most affected and those who have the need for greater knowledge of
this scientific analysis – those who live in the region – as also members of the wider community are
the key audience for this film.
The short film should be SD, with a maximum of 15 minutes duration, English/Japanese dubbing/subtitles.The production includes script, video filming, pre and post-production work .
UNOV invites television production companies and advertising agencies with knowledge/expertise in this to submit their Expressions of Interest to participate in a competitive bidding exercise.
