3rd UNOSDP YOUTH LEADERSHIP CAMP at Swiss Federal Office on Sport (FOSPO) in Macolin, Switzerland 25 Sept. . 5 Oct. 2012

WHAT:
The 3rd UNOSDP Youth Leadership Camp (YLC) is an 11]day gathering of 29 young participants (18 female and 11 male, aged 18]25, from 17 countries in Sub]Saharan Africa and the Palestinian Territories), who are currently working at a variety of grassroots sport]based projects in their communities.

The YLC initiative was launched in January 2012 by the United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace (UNOSDP), in collaboration with the international NGO Right To Play. The objective of the YLC is to support deserving young community workers with basic education levels and limited resources, by providing them with access to theoretical and practical training on how sport can be better used to effect positive change in their communities.

The inaugural camp was held from 9]19 January 2012 in Doha, Qatar. The second camp took place from 18]28 June 2012 in Hennef, Germany. Partners include international sports organizations, football clubs and leagues, development agencies, NGOs, universities and private companies.
