The League of Nations Museum has been revamped!
Having transformed into the Museum of the United Nations at Geneva
, it reopened its doors to the public on the occasion of International Museum Day (22 May 2016).
The new permanent exhibition, “From the League of Nations to the United Nations”, invites visitors to interact with its exceptional archives, witnesses to the development of the international system since the early 20th century. Multilateral diplomacy, human rights, refugee protection, and economic and social development are among the themes addressed, from the pioneering work of the League of Nations to today's challenges faced by the United Nations in Geneva.
A temporary exhibition, “The International Bureau of Education: A Ninety-year Quest for Excellence in Education”, celebrates the role played by this institution since its creation in 1925. It also presents a unique collection of rare and old textbooks from different countries of the world.
