The second session of the Preparatory Committee for the 2015 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons will be held from Monday, 22 April, to Friday, 3 May 2013, in the Assembly Hall, at the United Nations Office at Geneva.

The list of speakers for the general debate is open. States parties wishing to inscribe their names on the list of speakers are invited to contact the secretariat of the Preparatory Committee (Mr. Hong Tan, Office for Disarmament Affairs (tel. 1 (212) 963-7062; room S-3135; fax 1 (917) 367-1767)).

States parties are kindly requested to provide information, in writing, as soon as possible, indicating the composition of their delegations to the session. The information should be sent to the Secretary of the Preparatory Committee, Mr. Valère Mantels, Office for Disarmament Affairs (Room S-3132, United Nations, New York, N.Y. 10017). To facilitate the preparation and early distribution of the list of participants, it is also kindly requested that the composition of the delegations be made available in electronic format (Microsoft Word or compatible format) by e-mail to Ms. Bertha Ortiz (ortiz1@un.org), as soon as possible.

Participants are requested to complete and send the registration form online (click here) or, alternatively, to complete the registration form annexed to the Information Note (annex I), which may be photocopied, and return it, as soon as possible to Ms. Junko Hirakawa, preferably by e-mail (hirakawa@un.org).

There will be limited circulation of hard copies of documents. Delegations are requested to send electronic copies of their statements to papersmart3@un.org, at least two hours prior to their speaking slot. The statements will be available to view and download via the PaperSmart Portal upon delivery. The secretariat kindly requests delegations to provide only 25 hard copies of official statements for the technical services.

Delegations and participants are encouraged to bring their laptops, tablets or other mobile devices to the meetings in order to access information and documents electronically. QR Code posters with the PaperSmart Portal link will be put up in the conference room to enable easy access to the Portal via QR Code scanners on devices.
