The Acting Director-General opened the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) Cyber Stability Seminar: “Preventing Cyber Conflict”.

The Acting Director-General met with Ms. Joan Elise Dubinsky, Director of the Ethics Office of the United Nations Secretariat.

The Acting Director-General, in his capacity as Acting Secretary-General of the Conference on Disarmament and Personal Representative of the Secretary-General to the Conference, participated in presidential consultations of the Conference.

The Acting Director-General hosted a luncheon for H.E. Mr. Nicolas Niemtchinow, Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.

The Acting Director-General visited the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and was welcomed by Mr. Philippe Burrin, Director of the Institute.

The Acting Director-General met with Mr. Kim Won-soo, Secretary of the United Nations Chief Executives Board (CEB).

The Acting Director-General attended a reception hosted by Dr. Daniel Plesch, Director of the Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, to mark the Centre’s student study tour to UNOG.

The Acting Director-General hosted a dinner for H.E. Mr. Steffen Kongstad, Permanent Representative of Norway to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.

The Acting Director-General met with H.E. Mr. Harald Braun, Former Secretary of State of Germany and newly-appointed Permanent Representative of Germany to the United Nations in New York.

The Acting Director-General attended a working lunch hosted by the Director of the Division of United Nations and International Organizations of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Jurg Lauber, with the Permanent Representative of Switzerland, Ambassador Alexandre Fasel, and senior representatives of various Divisions of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.

The Acting Director-General paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Didier Burkhalter, President of the Swiss Confederation and Head of Department of Foreign Affairs.

The Acting Director-General met with Ms. Sally Fegan-Wyles, Acting Head of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).

The Acting Director-General met with H.E. Mr. Slimane Chikh, Permanent Observer of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.

The Acting Director-General opened the seminar entitled "New approaches to General and Complete Disarmament" organized by the Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and the Strategic Concept for the Removal of Arms and Proliferation (SCRAP).

The Acting Director-General met with H.E. Ms. Carole Lanteri, Permanent Representative of the Principality of Monaco to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva and H.E. Mr. Bertrand de Crombrugghe, Permanent Representative of Belgium to the United Nations Office and specialized institutions in Geneva.

The Acting Director-General attended a dinner hosted by H.E. Mr. Alexandre Fasel, Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.

The Acting Director-General met with H.E. Mr. Henk Cor Van Der Kwast, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Conference on Disarmament.

The Acting Director-General chaired a briefing on the Strategic Heritage Plan (SHP). The Strategic Heritage Plan, one of the main priorities of UNOG for the coming years, is a major renovation project of the Palais des Nations.

The Acting Director-General participated via video-conference in the 2014 Senior Managers’ Compact signing ceremony with the Secretary-General.

The Acting Director-General met with Ms. Joan Elise Dubinsky, Director of the Ethics Office of the United Nations Secretariat.

The Acting Director-General met with Dr. Seth Berkley, Chief Executive Officer of the GAVI Alliance.

The Acting Director-General attended a luncheon organized by H.E. Mr. Nicolas Niemtchinow, Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva on the theme of ‘International Geneva’.

The Acting Director-General met with Mr. Marc Guerrero i Tarragó, Director of the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site in Barcelona, Spain.

The Acting Director-General participated by videoconference in a meeting on Umoja deployment in the next two years. Umoja is an Enterprise Resource Planning system that will integrate and harmonize all transactions throughout the United Nations Secretariat.

The Acting Director-General hosted the launch of the English-language biography of President Adolf Ogi, Former President of Switzerland and United Nations Under-Secretary-General.
