The Director-General met H.E. Mrs. Cécile Kyenge, Minister for Integration of the Government of the Republic of Italy and expressed his appreciation for the contributions of Italy to the work of the United Nations.
The Director-General met Dr. Colum Murphy, President of the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations and discussed continued cooperation.
The Director-General, in his capacity as Secretary-General of the Conference on Disarmament and Personal Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General to the Conference, participated in a plenary meeting of the Conference.
The Director-General hosted a luncheon in honour of Mr. Konstantin Romodanovsky, Minister of the Russian Federal Migration Service.
The Director-General attended a Reception on the occasion of the IDM 2013: Diaspora Ministerial Conference hosted by Mr. William Lacy Swing, Director-General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The Director-General participated in the General Assembly of the Club Diplomatique de Genève followed by a lecture of Mr. Pascal Lamy, Director General of the World Trade Organization.

The Director-General attended a reception on the occasion of the National Day of Estonia hosted by Mr. Jüri Seilenthal, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Estonia to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.
The Director-General participated by video-conference in the Management Committee meeting chaired by the Chef de Cabinet of the Executive Office of the UN Secretary-General, in which cross-cutting management issues of the Organization were discussed.
