The new Permanent Representative of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Mr. Sammie Pesky Eddico presented his credentials to the Director-General, who welcomed him as his country’s new representative to the United Nations in Geneva.
The Director-General expressed his condolences to the Permanent Mission of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh following the passing away of the country’s President, H.E. Mr. Zillur Rahman.
The Director-General, in his capacity as Secretary-General of the Conference on Disarmament and Personal Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General to the Conference, participated in presidential consultations of the Conference.
The Director-General participated by videoconference in a meeting of the Senior Management Group, chaired by the United Nations Secretary-General.
The Director-General met H.E. Mr. Christian Strohal, Ambassador Permanent Representative of Austria to the United Nations Office and specialized institutions in Geneva prior to his departure from his post, and wished him the best in future endeavours.
The Director-General attended a dinner hosted by H.E. Mr. Omar Hilale, Ambassador Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.

The Director-General, in his capacity as Secretary-General of the Conference on Disarmament and Personal Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General to the Conference, participated in a plenary meeting of the Conference.
The Director-General met Ms. Ksenia Yudaeva, the Russian G20 Sherpa and Chief of the Presidential Experts’ Directorate, Presidential Executive Office.
The Director-General attended an event to mark the publication of Mr. Kofi Annan’s memoirs “Interventions: A Life in War and Peace” organized jointly by The Kofi Annan Foundation, the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and the University of Geneva.

The Director-General opened a Springtime Festival, organized jointly on the occasion of the International Day of Nowruz by nine Permanent Missions to the United Nations Office at Geneva.
The Director-General opened Azerbaijani Cultural Night which featured a concert of traditional Mugham music.
