Today's Press Conferences OHCHR Press Conference15 March 2010 13:00 - 13:45 Situation of human rights in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Professor Vitit Muntarbhorn, UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the DPRK. Prof. Muntarbhorn has been acting as the SR on DPRK since 2004. His term will come to an end in June, after six years of independent reporting. In his report, to be presented to the Human Rights Council on 15 March, Prof. Muntarbhorn will take stock of the progression of the work in the past six years. He will also provide an update of the most recent situation covering the last half of 2009 until the very beginning of 2010. The Special Rapporteur will present the findings of his mission to the Council on 15 March.
