Third Conference

BACKGROUND

Pursuant to the relevant decisions of the High Contracting Parties to the Protocol, the Third Conference was held in Geneva on 9 and 10 November 2009 under the presidency of Ambassador Hamid Ali Rao of India. The Conference took place in the Palais des Nations, United Nations Office at Geneva.The invitation note verbale by the Secretary-General on convening the second Conference was circulated in January 2009, as follows:
