This is especially crucial for the Critical Raw Materials needed for the energy transition. The EU, African Union and a growing number of countries are already applying these instruments.

Committee Against Torture (CAT)

79th Session - 15 April 2024 to 10 May 2024

The Committee Against Torture (CAT) and Other Cruel Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment is the body of 10 independent experts that monitors implementation of the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment by its States parties. CAT works to hold States accountable for human rights violations, systematically investigating reports of torture in order to stop and prevent this crime. Over the course of its 79th session, it will examine Austria , Honduras , Azerbaijan , Liechtenstein , North Macedonia and Finland.

Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD)

112th Session - 08 to 26 Apr 2024

The Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) is the body of independent experts that monitors implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination by its States parties. Over the course of its 112th session,  #CERD will review Mexico, San Marino, Albania, Qatar and Moldova .
