Seventh Meeting of CCM States Parties



The Seventh Meeting of States Parties of the Convention on Cluster Munitions will take place from 4 to 6 September 2017 in Geneva, at the Palais des Nations.

Pursuant to the decision of the First Review Conference and to the provisions of General Assembly resolution 70/54, the Secretary-General of the United Nations convened these meetings by note verbale:


An invitation letter was also addressed to relevant International Organizations.


DATE AND VENUE

The Seventh Meeting of States Parties to the Convention on Cluster Munitions will take place from 4 to 6 September 2017 in Geneva, Switzerland, Palais des Nations.


PARTICIPATION

States willing to participate should send, through their Permanent Mission, a Note verbale to the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs stating their interest in participating in the Meeting and listing all participants, with indication of full name and title of the members of the delegation. The head of delegation should be clearly indicated.

International and regional organizations and civil society representatives should send a letter stating their interest in participating in the Meeting and listing all participants, with indication of full name and title of the members of the delegation. The head of delegation should be clearly indicated.

All letters/Notes verbales should reach the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs no later than Friday, 18 August 2017 at ccm@unog.ch or United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs, Office C-117, United Nations Office at Geneva, Palais des Nations, CH-1211 Geneva 10, Switzerland. In accordance with Article 14, paragraph 1, of the Convention, “the costs of the Meetings of States Parties […] shall be borne by the States Parties and States not party to this Convention participating therein, in accordance with the United Nations scale of assessment adjusted appropriately”.

  • Status of contributions - On 31 December 2016, the Financial Resources Management Service of the United Nations Office at Geneva circulated a summary of the financial contributions to the four disarmament conventions. Detailed information pertaining to the contributions to the CCM is contained in Annex III of the document.
