The Director-General, a.i. will give opening remarks at the 68th World Health Assembly, which will take place at the Palais des Nations from 18-26 May.

The Director-General, a.i. will welcome Ms. Angela Merkel, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, to the Palais des Nations. She will be in Geneva to address the opening of the 68th World Health Assembly.

The Director-General, a.i. will meet with Ms. Sarah Cook, Director of the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD).

The Director-General, a.i. will meet Ms. Gordana Jerger, Director of the World Food Programme Geneva Office.

The Director-General, a.i. will welcome a group of 32 Swiss Trainee Diplomats from the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

The Director-General, a.i. will meet Mr. Martin Chungong, Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and Ms. Anda Filip, Director for Member Parliaments and External Relations.

The Director-General, a.i. will participate in a round table discussion at the bus roadshow exhibition “Geneva Reaches out to the Swiss” in Brunnen, Switzerland. The exhibition, marking the bicentenary of the entry of Geneva into the Swiss Confederation, is currently touring Switzerland to showcase how the work of International Geneva affects the daily lives of people around the world.

The Director-General, a.i. will address at the bus roadshow exhibition “Geneva Reaches out to the Swiss” in Zug, Switzerland.
21 MAY 2015
The Director-General, a.i. will meet Mr. Rytis Paulauskas, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Lithuania to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.

The Director-General, a.i. will chair an Executive Briefing with Mr. Hervé Ladsous, Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations. The briefing will present an overview of the range of challenges facing peace operations today.

The Director-General, a.i. will participate in a debate organized by the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue. He will be presenting “The Role and the Activities of International Geneva: A Vision for the Future”.

The Director-General, a.i. will attend the inauguration ceremony of the Campus Biotech, a new initiative that aims to drive forward the biotechnology sector in the Geneva region.
