The Director-General participated in an event organized by the non-governmental organization Save a Child’s Heart. He stressed that the significant progress has been made in recent years on improving child health, in part due to focused and dedicated work on the Millennium Development Goals. He also noted the work of the UN family in Geneva to promote and protect children’s rights and the importance of partnerships with civil society.
