The Director-General opened the exhibition “True Lights of My City”, which featured paintings by the Chilean artist Felipe Mercedal. In his remarks, the Director-General highlighted the changing nature of the sea and the environment evoked by the artist and noted the increasing risks posed by climate change. He emphasized that dealing decisively with climate change is key to ensuring sustainable development, poverty eradication and for safeguarding economic growth.
