Director-General Opens Geneva Lecture Series

The Director-General opened the seventh edition of the Geneva Lecture Series with the participation of Mr. Carlos Slim Helú, which focused on the impact of new technologies on business and the world. The Director-General noted that although great progress has been made in terms of modern technologies, there are still 1.3 people globally who do not have access to electricity and more needed to be done in this regard. He also highlighted technology as a “critical enabler” for the work of the United Nations.
