Director-General Opens Exhibition “The Urban Landscape in Contemporary European Painting”

The Director-General opened the exhibition “The Urban Landscape in Contemporary European Painting” organized by the Council of Europe’s Member States on the occasion of Europe Day. He emphasized that this unique collaboration between Member States of the Council of Europe illustrates how cities define our culture, our identities and our countries, and noted how the exhibition represents both a celebration of differences and of a common cultural heritage.
