Director-General Meets Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for HIV/AIDS in Eastern Europe and Central Asia

The Director-General met Professor Michel Kazatchkine, Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for HIV/AIDS in Eastern Europe and Central Asia and discussed priorities and current challenges. He stressed deep concern at the continuing rise of HIV/AIDS in Eastern Europe and Central Asia and underlined this as an important challenge for the entire United Nations system.
