27 February 2014
The Acting Director-General participated in a launch of the International Peacebuilding Advisory Team (IPAT), co-hosted by UNOG and Interpeace. IPAT consists of a set of experts in participatory, multi-stakeholder peacebuilding approaches and other methodological tools, called on to provide tailored advice and capacity-development support. In his remarks, the Acting Director-General highlighted IPAT’s practical contributions and advice that can help sustain local peacebuilding efforts. He also noted that the event was an opportunity to feed into ongoing discussions on the post-2015 development agenda and the review of the United Nations Peacebuilding Architecture.
