Director-General Opens UN Orchestra Spring Concert

The Director-General opened the spring concert of the United Nations Orchestra, the proceeds of which were donated to support education programmes in Sierra Leone. He highlighted the role of education and literacy in contributing to sustainable development and democracy around the world and thanked the UN Orchestra for their promotion of international cooperation and their efforts to raise awareness of global issues.
