Director-General Hosts Working Meeting with UNOG Staff

The Director-General chaired a regular Town Hall Meeting with all UNOG staff to review achievements over the past year and outline priorities for 2012. Thanking staff for their efforts, the Director-General highlighted the progress that had been made in enhancing the role of Geneva as a multilateral hub, building partnerships and advancing sustainability through concrete measures. He presented the key 2012 priorities for the Office, including promoting UNOG as a platform for building global consensus; modernizing operations for cost-effective and efficient results; improving quality, productivity, timeliness and cost-effectiveness of services; taking forward sustainability measures; revitalizing the Conference on Disarmament; promoting multilingualism; and protecting the legal and interests of staff.
