The Palais des Nations

Thematic Tours





The Visitors' Service offers three thematic tours:

1. The first tour focuses on the history of the League of Nations and its links with the mandate and the work of the United Nations today. The history tour includes a visit of the Museum of the League of Nations situated in the library of the Palais des Nations.

2. The second tour looks at the flora, art, history and innovative management of the Ariana Park. It is our pleasure to inform you that we are resuming our park tours every Tuesday this summer, starting 18 June. Please look at the schedule below. The park tour costs CHF 10.- per person. Please send an email to visit-gva@unog.ch or call 022 917 48 94.

3. The third tour analyzes the history of the construction and the architectural style of the Palais des Nations, while also looking at some of the fine artwork and donations on the display in the Palais des Nations.

The thematic tours last for one and a half hours.

Please contact the Visitors' Service if you are interested in a thematic tour, which need to be booked at least two weeks in advance (apart from the park tour) if possible. Please note that the maximum number of persons per thematic tour is twenty.

How to find us

Visitors must enter at the Pregny Gate of the Palais des Nations at 14, avenue de la Paix.

Valid identity documents are required.

Public transport: lines 8, 28, F, V and Z stop at "Appia"; lines 5 and 11 stop at "Nations";
Tramways 13 and 15 Terminus "Nations".
