Internal and Affiliated Users
The Library is intended primarily for the use of Secretariat staff, delegations to the United Nations, members of Permanent Missions and other internal users. These official users may either consult works in the reading rooms, or borrow works from the Loan Desk.
For internal or “temporary” users attending Geneva conferences, it is an established practice that the secretariats of conferences meeting in the Palais des Nations appoint a liaison officer responsible for all Library loans to members of the conferences. In this regard, the Conference Liaison Officer should contact the Chief, General Reference Unit (Telephone number: +41 (0)22 917 41 85).
